In 2008 my musical China - The Whole Enchilada had its world premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival. We had a great run and we ended up being named Outstanding Musical.
My partner in crime was Paul Mirkovich. I wrote the lyrics and came up with basic melody lines. I took everything to Paul and he turned those ideas into actual songs. What's amazing is we wrote, arranged, and recorded all twelve songs in six days.
Paul has been the musical director for, it seems, just about everyone in rock 'n roll. He's also the musical director for the TV show The Voice. He's finally getting some much deserved pr. Here's a great article from the LA Times.
